Ngemba Mining Office Management System

About this project

A full-stack management platform built for a mining company's back-office operations, handling loan issuance and repayment tracking, equipment and vehicle asset registries, rental management for machinery and trucks, branch-level cash balances, and supplier relationships

— all from a single dashboard.

Built with Laravel and MySQL on the backend and Tailwind CSS with Alpine.js for a responsive, interactive frontend, the system replaced manual spreadsheet tracking with real-time visibility into loan repayment status, asset utilization, and outstanding balances across multiple branches.

Key design decisions included separating payment verification from record status to prevent data drift between what's recorded and what's actually settled, role-based access so branch staff only see their own branch's data while directors get a company-wide view, and an audit trail on every financial transaction. The result is a leaner, more accountable operation where staff can issue a loan, book out equipment for rental, record and verify a payment, and see the impact on cash balances — all without leaving the app.
